Safety & Consent
The world of Gor is fiction. The people who bring it into their lives are real, and they deserve real care. These principles apply to every dynamic in the World of Kajira.
Consent comes first
- Every participant is an adult who chooses freely and can withdraw consent at any time.
- Consent given under pressure, while intoxicated or out of fear is not consent.
- Consenting to a role does not mean consenting to everything. Each activity is discussed and agreed.
Negotiate
Before you begin, talk about hard limits (never), soft limits (maybe, with care), health considerations, privacy, and what each of you hopes to gain. Revisit these conversations regularly.
Safewords
A common system is Red (stop everything now), Yellow (slow down or check in) and Green (all good). If speech isn't possible, agree on a signal such as dropping an object or tapping three times. A safeword is always respected immediately, without punishment or argument.
Aftercare
After an intense scene or ceremony, take time to reconnect: water, a blanket, quiet conversation, reassurance. Check in again the next day.
Red flags
- Someone who rejects safewords or limits, or says a "true" Kajira doesn't have them.
- Pressure to isolate from friends or family, or to hand over money, passwords or documents.
- Rushing into a collar before you have met safely or talked openly.
If something feels wrong, trust that feeling. Leaving is always your right.
